Qkine shortlisted for the Business Weekly Awards 2023
The annual Business Weekly Awards celebrate local companies at the cutting edge of innovation, with this year’s awards seeing a record number of entrants. The awards gather companies and entrepreneurs from industry and academia, highlighting the importance for these sectors to work together towards innovation and discovery.
Winners will be selected across 14 Award Categories including Life Science Scale-up, Young Company of the Year, and Sustainability Champion. The judges will also be choosing a Business of the Year to join the successful winners from previous years which include Abcam, AVEVA, and Ryanair.
Qkine, is proud to have been shortlisted for the following categories in the Business Weekly Awards:
Cambridge Judge Graduate Business of the Year
For a Cambridge-based company that has shown outstanding commercial potential or success over the last 12 months, either founded by a Cambridge University alumnus or which has significantly contributed to the employment and retention locally of Cambridge graduate talent.
International Trade Champion
For a company in any industry that has significantly broadened its export sales or access to global markets.
Cambridge Judge Business School Woman Entrepreneur of the Year
For a woman entrepreneur who can demonstrate outstanding achievements in the last 12 months and who inspires and nurtures other women to excel.
Qkine, a spin out from Cambridge University, has been rapidly scaling over the last financial year, doubling its headcount to support R&D functions, and manufacturing capacity, enabling it to increase its product portfolio, as well as develop its commercial team. In the last financial year, Qkine exported to 30 countries with the support of its global distribution network. Qkine is committed to supporting the local community, through initiatives such as Cambridge Unlocked, to inspire the next generation into STEM careers.
The winners will be announced on 14th September during a ceremony taking place at Homerton College, Cambridge.
