Commercial

Product marketing manager

Location: Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, UK

Full time, or a minimum of 4 full days, or 5 shorter days per week.

As we enter the next phase of our growth, we seek a skilled and experienced Product Marketing Manager to bridge product management and marketing communications. You will be a pivotal member of our marketing team collaboratively working with marketing, sales and our customers. The successful candidate will be part of an established marketing team reporting directly to the Head of Marketing.

This is a role where you can influence the future of the business, play an active role in developing and delivering strategy by:

  • Product positioning and messaging: Develop and maintain differentiated positioning and messaging for the portfolio. Understand and document key business and technical benefits for customers
  • Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and distributors; and develop sales tools that support the selling process of the portfolio. This includes externally facing content such as PowerPoint presentations, brochures and data sheets, as well as internally facing content such as competitor cheat sheets and other training materials
  • Demand generation and content creation: Provide input into demand generation and campaign planning. Create thought leadership content to support campaigns, including white papers, eBooks, blogs, webinars and more
  • Market intelligence: Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of industry trends, competitor capabilities and customer needs in your market segment. Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria
  • Technical services: Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to technical enquiries and identifying potential opportunities
  • KOL development: Develop relationships with KOL and secure collaborative customer data for marketing purposes
  • Product launches: Develop pre- and post-launch strategic marketing plans for new products.

Your experience will include:

  • Working with technical based products
  • Working with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple markets and segments (experience with international markets is an advantage)
  • Being able to deliver simultaneous launches/product-based projects
  • Having excellent data analysis skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Being highly organised and self-driven
  • Educational background in Life Sciences degree, ideally with a specialism in proteins or stem cells.
  • Commercial business acumen, including the ability to prioritise and focus on business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Some travel may be required in this role.

Digital marketing manager

Location: Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, UK

As we enter the next phase of our growth, we seek a skilled and experienced Digital Marketing Manager to build our relationship with existing customers, attract new customers, build brand equity, and drive profitable growth.

The successful candidate will be part of a small, established marketing team reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. The role will be primarily based at our office in Cambridge with the possibility of hybrid working moving forward.

As Digital Marketing Manager you will lead on developing and managing our digital strategy and channels, though you will also use traditional channels and assist with the entire marketing mix as required.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership and development of our digital channels
  • Development of metrics and reports to track results and guide future activity
  • Use of market research and insight to ensure a better understanding of our customer base
  • Collaborating with other members of the team to ensure delivery of a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints including print, digital, social and website
  • Upholding brand purpose, values and corporate social responsibility, both internally and externally.

You will have:

  • 3+ years generalist and/or digital marketing experience, preferably in a large commercial organisation

We seek an experienced life sciences business development manager or sales professional to build customer relationships and drive revenue growth.

Reporting to the CEO, you will pro-actively build relationships with new and existing customers with a particular focus on the biotechnology market. You will have experience of sales or business development in the life sciences, an enquiring mind and a strong scientific background with interests in areas of science including stem cells, organoids, regenerative medicine and cellular agriculture. You will hold a PhD or posess equivalent experience in cell biology, molecular biology or a related scientific discipline and have a strong track record of research achievements or experience in the biotech industry. The successful candidate will develop cell based assays and experiments to test growth factor bioactivity and quality, work independently to set targets and plan work, have great attention to detail, good communication skills and a flexible approach. You will have:

  • Experience of cell-based assay development.
  • Hands on experience of maintaining mammalian cell lines.
  • Knowledge of an ELN platform and accurate data collection and presentation.

  • Extensive experience in construct design, recombinant protein expression, purification and characterization.

Operations Assistant

Location: Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, UK

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the entire customer order process from original order to payment
  • Responsible for the constant monitoring of orders across all delivery types to ensure safe and accurate delivery to the customer, promptly escalating issues and making recommendations as and when they arise. This will include liaising with couriers and ensuring the customer is kept informed of any delays or issues at all times and a proactive approach to solving any issues that arise.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and compliance of packaging across all customer order fulfilment, owning and addressing issues as and when they arise.
  • Responsible for sending out customer invoices following fulfilment
  • Responsible for monitoring customer payments and chasing overdue accounts

Other responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, maintaining and reviewing administrative processes and office systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Act as the liaison point with Contractors, IT support and various other suppliers.
  • Coordinating and assisting with the development of processes, policies and procedures.
  • Managing office stock and replenishing regularly.
  • Attending to any correspondence and emails by customers, clients and contractors
  • Other ad-hoc tasks to assist the Head of Finance and Operations

You will have:

  • Previous office admin experience and/or experience as an Office Manager
  • Previous operations experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Good MS Office skills – Intermediate Level (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous import/export experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Analytical skills
  • Building working relationships skills
  • An eye for attention to detail
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
