Catherine Elton, Qkine founder and CEO, recognised in the #21towatch in 2021
#21toWatch showcases 7 people, 7 companies and 7 inventions at the forefront of innovation in Cambridge and the East of England. The results were announced on the 4th March and we are delighted that our CEO, Catherine Elton, was named one of the 7 “people” to watch.
Commenting on the recognition, Dr Catherine Elton, CEO of Qkine said:
This is truly a reflection of the hard work of my colleagues at Qkine and the support of our investors, collaborators and customers so this is a good opportunity to thank them all. Inclusion on the #21toWatch list is a great start to 2021, which will be an exciting year for Qkine as we continue building our international commercial strategy and product portfolio. Undoubtedly this has been a bizarre time and hard for many. With home-learning, intense juggling and no opportunity to not be “authentic” with amusing zoom interruptions, a moment I’ll treasure was precipitating by the #21toWatch event, encapsulated by two words: “It’s Mummy!”.
#21toWatch, established by Cofinitive, celebrates an exciting cohort of people and their companies and inventions, from a wide and diverse array of sectors. Judging is based on innovation, viability, and memorability and the influence this cohort will have on the region in the years to come.
Many on the #21towatch list have gone on to achieve great things and have real impact on UK industry and global innovation.
Congratulations Catherine!
