Qkine TGF-β1 PLUS™ induction of chondrogenic differentiation in iPSC derived mesodermal progenitor cells
Cartilage spheroids are a promising approach for cartilage regeneration, offering enhanced cell survival and functionality compared to traditional methods, and potentially leading to better outcomes in cell therapy for cartilage repair.
TGF-β1 PLUS™ chondrogenic differentiation
- Qkine TGF-β1 PLUS™ was used to induce chondrogenic differentiation in iPSC derived mesodermal progenitor cells.
- These cells were used to create cartilage spheroids.

Transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1) is a common component of pluripotency maintenance and organoid media. However, as TGF-β1 is a highly complex protein, it is difficult to manufacture in microbial expression systems. Qkine animal origin-free TGF-β1 PLUS™ shows exceptional lot-to-lot consistency, providing a reliable source of highly active TGF-β1 for chondrogenic differentiation and spheroid formation.
All our recombinant proteins are animal-free and come with Bioactivity. Guaranteed.
