Qkine Interleukin 7 (IL-7) is as biologically active as a comparable alternative supplier protein
Interleukin-7 (IL-7) is a vital cytokine essential for immune system regulation, particularly in the development and maintenance of T cells, playing a crucial role in both adaptive and innate immune responses. Recombinant human IL-7 stimulates the development of lymphoid progenitor cells.
Qkine IL-7 (Qk095) manufacture has been optimized to produce a highly bioactive protein which is animal origin-free, carrier protein-free and tag-free.
Qkine IL-7 bioactivity
- Qkine IL-7 (Qk095) was bioactive in a quantitative assay with an EC50 of 0.41 ng/ml.
- This was comparable to bioactivity of IL-7 standard from SBH Sciences, which had an EC50 of 0.44 ng/ml.

Qkine IL-7 was as bioactive as IL-7 from an alternative supplier. Recombinant IL-7 activity was determined using proliferation of the mouse-derived B lymphocyte cell line 2E8. Cells were treated in duplicate with a serial dilution of Qkine IL-7 (Qk095, green) for 65 hours. Cell viability was measured using the CellTiter 96 Aqueous Non-Radioactive Cell Proliferation Assay (Promega). Assay was performed by SBH Sciences using their standard (black) for comparison. Data from Qk095 lot #204669.
Qkine recombinant proteins have the advantage of being highly pure and animal origin-free, giving lot-to-lot consistency in bioactivity for long-term reproducible culture of primary and stem cells.
All our recombinant proteins are animal-free and come with Bioactivity. Guaranteed.
