Commercial
Events and CRM Coordinator
Location: Newmarket Road, Cambridge.
Full-time (or at least 4 days per week or equivalent e.g. school hours).

We are looking for a dynamic and organized Event Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing our events strategy, working closely with the business development team to support lead follow-up and measure return on investment (ROI). You will play a key role in identifying promotional opportunities through event sponsorships and attendance, while ensuring the creation and distribution of high-quality marketing materials that align with our brand.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Event Strategy Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement events that align with our marketing and business development objectives.
- Lead Follow-Up & ROI Measurement: Oversee the process of lead capture, follow-up, and track ROI for events to ensure maximum value.
- Sponsorship & Promotion: Identify and secure value-add opportunities for event sponsorships and promotional activities.
- Event Logistics: Coordinate with conference and event organisers to ensure seamless execution, from registration to post-event follow-up.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with scientific and commercial colleagues to develop high-quality, on-brand marketing collateral.
- Ensure that relevant digital content is created and distributed pre- and post-event to support event objectives and enhance engagement.
- CRM maintenance and support of process improvements and enhancements.
Skills and experiences that will help you in the role:
- Proven experience in event coordination, marketing, or business development support, ideally in a science environment.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns, support content creation, monitor online performance, and contribute to the overall strategy to enhance our digital presence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement various online marketing initiatives across social media, email, website, and paid advertising channels.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Campaign Execution & Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute digital marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms, including social media, email marketing, the company website, and paid advertising channels.
- Drive Revenue: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue through the eCommerce channel, tracking and optimising the customer journey.
- Social Media Support: Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) by creating posts, scheduling content, and engaging with followers. Monitor social media performance and generate reports on engagement metrics.
- Email Marketing: Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotions, and automated workflows. Maintain and segment email lists to ensure relevant and personalised content.
- Website and SEO Support: Assist in managing website content, ensuring it is up-to-date, and optimising landing pages for conversion. Support SEO efforts by helping with keyword research, on-page optimisation, and content updates.
- Paid Media Campaigns: Manage and track performance of paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads) and paid social media campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads). Assist in budget management and ensure optimal campaign performance by monitoring key metrics like CTR, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor, track, and analyse digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email campaign metrics. Assist in preparing reports to evaluate campaign success and recommend optimisations.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the business development team and other departments to execute cohesive digital strategies.
Skills and experiences that will help you in the role:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or similar industries.
- Skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, and email marketing. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content.
- Analytical Skills: Comfortable analysing data and generating reports to assess campaign performance.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise deadlines, and coordinate across teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, or other relevant platforms).

Distributor and E-marketplace Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our commercial team, driving the development of our distribution network to support our rapid growth. You will be responsible for expanding, managing and optimising our global distribution network and enhancing our presence on e-marketplaces. This role is crucial in driving sales growth, building brand awareness and ensuring our distributors are fully trained and aligned with Qkine’s objectives.
You will ideally have a scientific background and a good understanding of academic, biotech and pharma buying trends, internationally and in particular the US.
Main responsibilities will include:
Distributor Management:
- Achieve sales targets through effective distributor management and support.
- Global network management, proactively managing and developing our network to optimise market reach and performance.
- Foster mutual growth and cooperation with distributors through engagement and relationship management.
- Work closely with distributors to build brand awareness and develop marketing and event strategies that align with Qkine’s goals
- Ensure distributors receive comprehensive training on Qkine products and sales strategies to effectively represent and promote our brand and products.
- Monitor the financial performance of distributors and provide feedback and strategies for improvement
E-marketplace Management:
- Manage and expand the presence on e-marketplaces, primarily in the US and UK markets.
- Create, optimise, and maintain product listings to enhance visibility and sales.
- Develop and deliver promotional campaigns to drive traffic and sales on e-marketplaces.
- Monitor the performance of e-marketplace performance, providing insights and recommendations informed by data analysis.
- Ensure all e-marketplace activities comply with respective policies and standards.
Skills and experiences that will help you in the role:
- At least three years of experience in a Distributor Manager or related role
- Life sciences tools experience and market awareness.
- Ideally, a scientific background and a good understanding of academic, biotech and pharma buying trends, internationally and particularly the US.
- The ability to travel for work periodically, including internationally.

Manufacture Lead (Protein Production)

We are seeking an experienced professional to join us as Manufacture Lead. In this role, you will manage the Manufacture team’s scheduling and daily operations, act as their line manager, and collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure all batches meet the Nine-point Qkine Quality Commitment and comply with ISO 9001:2015 or future accreditation standards.
You will also oversee a Process Development team tasked with improving upstream and downstream workflows to increase yields, enhance throughput, and reduce production costs. This includes integrating larger-scale equipment and troubleshooting existing processes – experience in these areas would be highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, with a strong background in protein production, purification, and team leadership. This is an onsite-based role, and it is envisaged that responsibilities will initially be split between lab and desk-based work, requiring excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
You will have:
- Extensive experience in recombinant protein expression, purification, and characterisation.
- Experience with AKTA systems or similar, with the ability to troubleshoot purification issues.
- Knowledge of ELN platforms and accurate data collection and presentation.
- Experience working with a QMS such as ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 13485, with an understanding of quality assurance practices.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring team members.
- Familiarity with batch record review and quality sign-off procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and oversee team activities effectively.
